I2P в NT4

i2p install

Nothing difficult, it works. But you will need JRE 1.5 which may require SP6. There is workaround. Take installed JRE from other system, e.g. WinXP.

  1. Take installed JRE from other system, e.g. from WinXP.
  2. place it to C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_07
  3. copy java.exe из this direcyory to C:\Windows\System32
  4. set active version in registry
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment]
    "CurrentVersion"="1.5"

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.5.0]
    "JavaHome"="C:\\PROGRA~1\\JAVA\\JRE15~1.0_0"
    "MicroVersion"="7"
    "RuntimeLib"="C:\\PROGRA~1\\JAVA\\JRE15~1.0_0\\BIN\\client\\jvm.dll"

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment\1.5]
    "JavaHome"="C:\\PROGRA~1\\JAVA\\JRE15~1.0_0"
    "MicroVersion"="7"
    "RuntimeLib"="C:\\PROGRA~1\\JAVA\\JRE15~1.0_0\\BIN\\client\\jvm.dll"

  5. add proper paths to system variables:
    PATH="C:\PROGRA~1\JAVA\JRE15~1.0_0\BIN;....."
    CLASSPATH="C:\PROGRA~1\JAVA\JRE15~1.0_0\LIB\rt.jar;....."

  • run install, run Start -> I2P -> Start I2P (restartable), wait.
  • open http://127.0.0.1:7657/config.jsp and setup
  • see what port is used and unblock it and 4444 in advanced security settings of TCP/IP Protocol (if securuty is used)
    Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Network -> Protocols -> TCP/IP -> Propeties -> Advanced -> Enable security -> Configure
  • configure 127.0.0.1:4444 as proxy server in your browser and try http://www.i2p2.i2p/faq.html, it should work.
  • if you want to see I2P resources via I2P-server, and open all the rest directly, see Squid Local Proxy.
